On our percussion platform, acoustic work started before the enclosure did. Motor mounting, mass distribution and controller ramps were shaped around a 45 dB target at working intensity.
The result is a device people actually use in the evening — which is when recovery routines mostly happen.
If noise shows up late in a project, it can only be traded away against something else. Set the target early.
