Straps, electrodes and contact surfaces age with sweat and heat. Here is how we pick and test them.
Any surface that touches skin for hours is a material decision first and a design decision second. We shortlist by biocompatibility certification, then test for sweat, heat and cleaning agents.
Contact surfaces also have to survive real cleaning: wipes, soap and occasional alcohol. Materials that look great on a sample can fail after a month of daily use.
That is why our test plan includes aged samples, not just fresh ones.
